Department of Transportation (DOT) Substance Abuse Evaluation (SAP)
We are trained as a Substance Abuse Professional (SAP) to complete evaluations for employees regulated by the Department of Transportation (DOT). We have a commitment to support the safety of the public while adhering to the guidelines of the Federal Department of Transportation. The U.S. DOT mandates that any refusal or positive test prohibits employees from performing safety-sensitive duties until evaluated by a Substance Abuse Professional.
Substance Abuse process from start to end:
1. Render a comprehensive clinical assessment.
2. Provide recommendations of treatment and educational courses
3. Monitor the compliance established within the SAP recommendations.
4. Engage in a follow-up evaluation to determine compliance with the initial evaluation, treatment, and educational resources.
5. Provide a final report to employer that includes follow-up plans for drug/alcohol testing aftercare.
